New York City is one of the most popular travel destinations in the United States.  Known for its spectacular monuments, restaurants, and nightlife, few will argue that the Big Apple has a lot to offer people of all ages.  I ♥ NY themed merchandise is available for sale throughout the city.  This gives travelers something personal to take home with them.

I ♥ NY lapel pins are used for many different purposes.  They can be used to raise awareness of upcoming festivals, parades, or other celebrations that will be coming to the city.  This is a great way to get others to come to NYC to check it out.

The iconic slogan is reminiscent of one of the most popular cities in the world.  Famous people love wearing I ♥ NY to special events throughout the year.  It isn’t unusual to see them wearing their custom lapel pins on a hat or jacket.

We recently had a customer that wanted to incorporate the iconic saying into a custom lapel pin.  The custom NY City lapel pin you see here was made to create awareness for an upcoming gymnastics tournament that was taking place in the city.  The outer shape of the pin takes the form of a heart to mirror the heart in the main logo.  Design techniques like this are what take your pin from good to great.

Help your next New York City event be the best that it can by incorporating NYC lapel pins into your budget.  Visit http://www.lapelpinsplus.com.  You can also email info@lapelpinsplus.com or call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free to receive a no obligation, free price quote and full color digital proof.  We’ll be more than happy to help you create I ♥ NY lapel pins that are attractive and memorable.

Here at Lapel Pins Plus, we like it when customers think outside of the box and come up with unique ways to use lapel pins.  A recent customer of ours challenged us to create a pin that looked like a padlock.  They were wanted to use the lapel pins to promote a new service they were offering.

The pin you see here is completely 3 dimensional looking.  Although it lays flat on a surface, the top side is rounded extrudes up and out of the pin base.  Our 3d molds add life to any pin and this padlock could not have been done without the use of this technique.

Another technique that was used on this pin was silkscreen.  We silkscreened all of the white, black and red areas to add a sharp, crisp look to the text.  Text is a very important feature of custom lapel pin design.

One last design note regarding this unique lapel pin is the cut-out section in the interior of the pin.  Had we left this area solid metal, it would not have come off nearly as well as it does with the entire center section cut away.  No matter what the challenge may be, we’re clearly up for it.

Submit your design ideas to info@lapelpinplus.com.  You can also call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free to request a free price quote and full color digital proof.  No matter what your concept is, we can make it into attractive lapel pins that you’ll enjoy handing out.

Many troops that are off serving our country have a spouse that waits for them to return back home.  A lot of times, support groups made up of military spouses are created to give each of the strength during the time their soldier is away on duty.  We find that these groups turn to lapel pins to help show their support.  The pin you see pictured here is from a support group that is located in Ft. Hood, Texas.

We see different designs ranging from hearts (like this pin) to ribbon pins and dog tag style pins.  We can create any shape lapel that you can imagine.  Other important information that can be added to your lapel pins would be the seal of whatever branch your spouse serves in, the year, maybe the location of your spouse, and a short inspirational message that has personal meaning.

We have the ability to turn the military spouse pin into a charm that can be attached to a necklace or a bracelet if you would prefer to wear the pin that way.  Custom pins are highly sought after pieces of jewelry with symbolic meaning and sentimental value.  If you want a way to honor your spouse, ordering charms is a great way to do just that.

Custom lapel pin charms are attractive and meaningful.  They resemble high quality pieces of jewelry and make the perfect accessory to wear any time of year.  In fact, it isn’t unusual to see military families sporting a charm daily.

Don’t let another moment pass you by without showing support for your military loved ones.  Create custom lapel pins today.  Visit http://www.lapelpinsplus.com.  You can also email info@lapelpinsplus.com or call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free.  Order enough to hand out to all the members of your support group.  They’ll be grateful to receive such a thoughtful and meaningful gift.

Can you remember back in elementary school when jumping rope was an exercise you did during gym class?  Or, when you got home from school, you and a few of your friends would get a rope out and work on your double dutch skills?  Those were some fun times, right?  Can you believe that competitive jump roping is now as popular as it is?

Teams are formed and kids and adults alike are jumping in ways few people have ever seen before.  Team jump roping promotes healthy lifestyles and creates competitive opportunities through the sport of jumping rope.  Not only does it foster confidence, discipline, and responsibility, it also encourages leadership.

Nationwide, teams are creating custom lapel pins like the one pictured here in the blog.  These pins often show jumpers in action.  They also include the team name, mascot, and the city and state where the team members are from.

At tournaments, teams trade their pins with other teams as a way to meet and mingle.  They also swap pins because it’s a fun pastime that everyone enjoys.  Pin trading is the highlight of many events and competitions.

Jump rope pins are usually bigger than the average corporate lapel pin.  Ranging from 1.25” to 2”, these pins use a lot of color and are very fun for us to make.  If you don’t have a design idea in mind, let your jumpers help you.  Sponsor a contest and have the winning idea be the idea you send us for your custom challenge coin.  This is a great way to foster the spirit of competition in your jumpers and also to instill a sense of pride in the winner.

If you’re looking to spruce up your pin a little, consider using glitter paint or danglers.  We have seen danglers used to show the years that a particular team won nationals.  Dangling charms really enhance the appearance of custom lapel pins.

We are here to help.  Visit http://www.lapelpinsplus.com today to request a free price quote. You can also email info@lapelpinsplus.com or call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free.  We’ll be more than happy to help you come up with a design that you and your jumpers can be proud of.

A huge advantage we have here at Lapel Pins Plus is  that we have our own art department.  This allows us to take your rough ideas and turn them into the best looking pins at your tournament. The image you see here was a pencil sketch that a team submitted to us last year.  Our art department studied the picture and the notes and then created the image you see below.

You don’t have to be the professional artist, we will handle that for you.  We just need your input and your ideas.  If you don’t feel comfortable even sketching, that is fine.  Just send us an email and describe in words your vision.

Once we receive your idea or artwork, our graphics team starts drawing you a digital picture of what your trading pin will look like.  We call this a proof.  You then get to examine the proof and make any changes that you would like to see.

Once you are completely happy with the proof, we will place your order and begin production.  About 10-12 days later, the pins will be on your doorstep.  This gives you plenty of time to receive your trading pins before your first game.

One tip regarding trading pins:  Order early.  Start drawing today so that you can get the teams feedback on the pin.  Once May and June come around, baseball and softball pin trading will be in full swing and delivery times will start to increase dramatically.  We want all of our customers to get pins on time, please order early to ensure this can happen.

Visit http://www.lapelpinsplus.com today to request a no obligation, free price quote and full color digital proof.  Email info@lapelpinsplus.com or call 1-800-252-0904.  We can’t wait to get started on your trading pins.

National Volunteer Week was first established in 1974 as a way to inspire, recognize, and encourage people to engage in volunteerism in their communities.  Growing by leaps and bounds each and every year, it has been endorsed  by U.S. Presidents, governors, mayors, and other elected officials.  National Volunteer Week celebrates volunteers and offers them the opportunity to share their experiences and practices with others around the world.

This year’s week starts in just under a month.  It will be held  from April 15th -21st.  This means there is still time for us to design and produce pins for this year’s celebration.  Lapel pins make the perfect thank you gift.  This is because the recipient can tell that a lot of thought went into the gift.  Because we can customize your pin, we can really help spread the message of thanks to your volunteers.

Volunteers from across the country who wear uniforms would love to have a classic lapel pin to add to their look.  These small pieces of jewelry help accessorize any outfit and add a sense of professional at the same time.  Meaningful and attractive, they are the type of item that people take notice of.

The pin you see here is trimmed in our high polished gold plating.  You can choose for gold, silver, copper, bronze, black metal and black nickel platings.  We can even treat the pin with an antique finish which gives a worn, weathered look.

Contact us today for a no obligation free price quote and full color digital proof.  You can visit http://www.lapelpinsplus.com or call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free.  We’ll be more than happy to help you design custom volunteer pins that exceed your standards.

Often, we are contacted by the “city of” or the “town of” because they want our help designing custom lapel pins for the different events and everyday happenings taking place in their communities.  We’re up for the challenge and love the creativity demonstrated by our customers when they submit their design ideas to us.

In the past, we have had the opportunity to design pins that were to educate the town on new legislation or codes.  Other times, the pin is used to promote a major event in that city and a lapel pin is used to get the message out.  Many city lapel pins are produced to hand out to citizens to create a since of pride.

As you can see, city and town lapel pins have many uses and purposes.  Most town lapel pins include the name, the year incorporated, and a city seal.  The pin you see here in this blog was for the town of Malabar.  They were holding a 50th anniversary party of the day they became an official town.  These lapel pins were handed out to all the guests at the gala.

City and town lapel pins vary in size, shape, style, and color.  No two are alike which make it fun to collect them.  If you travel to neighboring communities or go on vacation, you can pick up custom pins along the way.  This allows you to collect something that is personal and meaningful to you.

Custom lapel pins travel and store well.  If you pick some up while on the road, you can easily pack them into a piece luggage or duffle bag until you arrive home.  You can also display them in your home or office with very little effort.  Velvet bags, velvets cases, and acrylic cases are just a few of the presentation options that we offer to customers that want to safeguard their pins from every day wear and tear.

Contact us today with your lapel pin ideas.  Visit http://www.lapelpinsplus.com.  You can also email info@lapelpinsplus.com or call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free.  We’ll be more than happy to assist you with artwork and design services for your town of or city of lapel pins.

Embroidery has found a second life in today’s society.  Thanks to women like Jenny Hart of Sublime Stitching, embroidering has become hip once again.  Embroider’s guilds give women a place to meet with friends, work on their needlecrafts, and showcase their finished projects.

One Embroiders Guild of America chapter recently contacted us with a special request.  They wanted us to turn their typical lapel pin design into a charm.  We were able to easily do this for the guild by not putting a standard post with butterfly clutch on the back of the pins.  We design the lapel pin the same way, whether it is soft enamel, cloisonné, die struck or offset printed and then we add a small loop at the top.  The loop at the top is where you thread your necklace or bracelet through.

Each year this guild will create a new charm for its members so that they can add to their club bracelet or necklace.  We can provide the charm and the necklace or just the charm.  Charms can be made for clubs that take special trips to conferences so that all can remember the fun times that were had.

Some embroiders guilds hold competitions to see whose design will be the winning design that will be turned into that years pin.  Each member gets to vote on their favorite design and the winning design get emailed to us to transform into a pin.

Consider creating a “new member” pin so that you can give a personalized gift to members of your guild.  We offer a lot of choices when it comes to customization.  You can select a unique size or shape for your charm or even have glitter and simulated gemstones added to it.  Your embroider’s guild charms will be as unique as you and the other members in your group.

Visit http://www.lapelpinsplus.com for more information.  You can also email info@lapelpinsplus.com or call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free.  We’ll be happy to help you come up with your own embroider’s guild charms today.

Silkscreening on lapel pins has many great uses.  Silkscreening refers to the process of laying down an ink like substance to the face of a lapel pin though a stencil process.  One great fact to know about silkscreening is that is the only type of pin that can cover the outside edge with color (see blog image).

Silkscreens are also great for tiny details.  If you have a logo that you don’t want a metal border surrounding each color, then silkscreening is the way to go.  We can match any color out there, just let us know what you have in mind.

Did you know that we can add silkscreen to the raised surface of our pins?  Most commonly, we do this with our cloisonné style pins.  This gives you a few more options for your customizing your lapel pins.

Silkscreening names onto pins make them more personal.  Many baseball and softball teams choose this option.  They also request player numbers on the pins. This adds a personal touch to them and creates the impression that the pins are higher in perceived value than ones without this information included on them.  At pin trading events the ones that are the most unique get swapped first.

Contact one of our qualified, experienced representatives to find out how we can use silkscreening for your pins.  Visit http://www.lapelpinsplus.com, email info@lapelpinsplus.com or call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free for more information.  We can’t wait to get started on your custom silkscreened lapel pins.

In the past few years, travel team lapel pins have become very popular.  Sometimes these travel teams are also called select or elite teams.  These teams are made up of the best players of that league by a sponsor coach.  They travel around the state and region playing similar skilled teams.

Now is the Time to Order Your Custom Trading Pins

Many hours of practice, traveling, and playing are required with these travel teams.  Travel teams just like traditional league teams love trading pins.  With trading pin season just around the corner, now is the time to start designing and ordering your pins for upcoming tournaments.

Travel Team Trading Pins Are Extremely Detailed

Travel team trading pins usually have a few more bells and whistles then most teams.  The travel trading pin can also have a similar look to the league pin for that season.  Think about using a similar color scheme to tie the two different pins together.

Blinking Lights Ensure That Your Pins Are a Hit with Other Players

As you can see here, this team included a red blinkie light at the tip of the cannon.  Blinkies are one of the quickest and easiest ways to get your pins noticed first.  The black metal plating on this pin also gives the design a sharp, classic look.

Add-ons like these help make your trading pins stand out.  Here are a few other items that help bring your pin designs come to life:

  • Glitter
  • Sliding pieces (Sliders)
  • Spinning pieces (Spinners)
  • Bobble Heads
  • Silkscreening (Player Names and Numbers)

Get your hands on custom travel team trading pins before your first game.  Visit http://www.lapelpinsplus.com to see what we have to offer you.  You can also reach us by emailing info@lapelpinsplus.com or calling 1-800-252-0904 toll-free.  The sooner you get your ideas to us the better.  We can’t wait to send you a free price quote and full color digital proof reflecting your design idea.
