Colleges and universities around the country love lapel pins.  The biggest reason they are so fond of lapel pins is that they are so versatile.  They can be used for so many types of occasions while being fun and inexpensive to create.

The college pin you see here was for the recreation department at Appalachian State University.  Like many colleges, Appalachian State has many smaller divisions that different groups fall under.  The recreation department needed a lapel pin for its members and the pin you see here is what we designed for them.

Other great uses for college pins are for graduation ceremonies.  Each college has its own tradition for this momentous occasion.  Why not create pin for the graduates, as well as the faculty and staff to memorialize that day forever?  We can even make pins for the parents of the graduates so they can show off their pride in their young ones’ accomplishments.

Many university lapel pins we create are for the different colleges that make up the academic institute.  For example, the nursing school likes to create their own pins just as the engineering school does and the business school.  With the ease of design these pins, all of the colleges can have a custom pin that is perfect just for them.

Selling college pins at sporting events like football or basketball home games is another great use for these pins.  They are an excellent way to generate money for the school because of their low cost to make but high perceived value.  Fundraising helps teams fund trips, purchase new equipment, and provide scholarships for worthy students.

Visit http://www.lapelpinsplus.com today to learn more about the types of pins we offer.  You can also email info@lapelpinsplus.com or call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free to request a free price quote and full color digital proof.  We’ll be more than happy to answer any questions you have about creating custom lapel pins for your college.  Just call or email us your ideas right away.

Youth softball and baseball is heating up all across the U.S.  T-ballers to teenagers are in full swing of their seasons with their eyes on post season tournaments.  A few fortunate teams get to go to Cooperstown for a national tournament, but the majority of other teams will travel to other closer destinations for their tournaments.

No matter where your tournament is, trading pin “rules” will apply.  We are here to help you design the best pin possible that will trade better than all of the others.  Our years of experience designing custom trading pins helps us figure out what works and what doesn’t in regards to design.

Today, let’s look at the attached trading pin and see what made this such a successful pin.

Large Size

This is a 2” pin.  The bigger pin, the higher perceived value the pin has.  1.5” is the smallest you would want to go and we have done pins as big as 2.5” to 3”.

Glitter Paint

Glitter paint.  Adding glitter to any pin instantly takes a normal pin to an outstanding pin.  Try to incorporate glitter whenever possible.  It has great “bang for the buck”.

Black Metal Plating

The black metal plating of this pin is really cool too.  Little leaguers all over like pins that are plated in black.  They make the pin look tougher than most other pins.

Unique Shape and Design

Unique shapes and designs allow room for creativity.  The interesting way this pin is cut out was a huge hit at the tournament.

Player Names and Numbers

Customizing the pin with your players’ numbers is a great way to differentiate your team from others.  Personalized pins trade fast at tournaments.  People love going home with a piece of memorabilia from their experience.

Transform your trading pins this year by experimenting with different sizes, shapes, and add-ons.  We can give you suggestions once we’ve heard your idea or concept.  Visit http://www.lapelpinsplus.com today to see samples of the pins we’ve created for other baseball and softball teams.  You can also email your inquiries to info@lapelpinsplus.com or call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free to request a free price quote and full color digital proof.

Horse Racing is a fast paced, exciting sport.  Major horse races are coming up in the next couple of months.  Have you thought about how you’re going to celebrate the exciting events?

From the Kentucky Derby to the Preakness, millions of horse racing enthusiasts have some busy months up ahead.  If you are throwing a viewing party, you should consider a lapel pin as a gift at your party.  Serve up hot dogs and hamburgers and don’t forget to give everyone in attendance at your event one of your pins!  This is a great way to mark the occasion and to impress everyone around you.

The pins can be in the shape of a race horse or a jockey’s uniform like the pin you see here.  Jockey lapel pins are also popular to hand out at the race should you choose to watch it in person.  Collecting these pieces of memorabilia is fun too.  Trade your custom pins with other enthusiasts and expand your collection.

We can make any custom shape pin you would like, don’t feel like you have to conform to a square or circle.  Cut-to-shape lapel pins resemble whatever image is included on them.  Custom cut outs accentuate different areas of the pin by removing the metal.  This is great for detailed designs.

Get creative with your concepts.  For example, we could make horse riding pins, horse training pins and jumping horse lapel pins.  Send your inquiries and ideas to us via email at info@lapelpinsplus.com.  You can also call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free to request a free price quote and full color digital proof.  Once you approve your horse racing lapel pin design and pay for your order, we submit it to our production department for manufacturing.  We even pay the cost of shipping your custom lapel pins to you.  This is one of the many ways we thank you for choosing us as your go-to source for custom lapel pin designing and manufacturing.

May is Rainforest Awareness Month.  The annual event is sponsored by The Rainforest Foundation which was founded in 1989 by Sting and Trudie Styler after they witnessed the destruction of the Amazon rainforest firsthand.  Not only are acres of land devastated by deforestation, the indigenous people who live in this area are negatively affected by clear cutting.

The non-profit group works in more than 20 countries worldwide in Africa, Asia, Central America, and South America.  They help local communities protect over 28 million acres of forest.  Through their efforts, many people are more aware of the issues caused by clear cutting and deforestation.

If your group or school plans on participating in Rainforest Awareness Month this year, you’ll want to have a memorable keepsake item on hand to giveaway to members, donors, volunteers, staff, and students.  One item in particular really stands out.

Many of us have fond memories of going to the fair as a child.  From the fun rides to the prizes and the fair food, what is not to love?  Fairs are exciting with lots of sounds and lights that attract the kid in us all.

State fairs like to use lapel pins to help promote their event.  Lapel pins are ideal for state fairs as promotional tools.  Because like the fair they are representing, they can be bright and attractive and draw people in.

Images of Ferris wheels, hot dogs, roller coasters are all common images found on state or county fair pins.  Remember to include the dates of the fair on your pin so that the town or city residents know when to expect.

Fair lapel pins can be handed out to winners of events like pie eating contests or most outstanding pig award.  You can even create your lapel pins in different colors to signify First, Second, and Third Place as well as Honorable Mention.  These pins can be given out to best-in-show winners.

Completely customizable like the example you see here, custom lapel pins are the perfect fit for your state fair.  Contact us today so that we can begin designing your pins right away.  Visit http://www.lapelpinsplus.com to see samples of the different styles of lapel pins that we offer.  You can also email info@lapelpinsplus.com or call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free.  We’ll be more than happy to send you a free price quote and full color digital proof.  This allows you to see your state fair lapel pins up close before they are sent to the production department for manufacturing.

Now that we are officially in baseball and softball trading pin season, we thought we would do a quick blog on the advantages of ordering lanyards with your trading pins.

The first and most popular use of the lanyards is to pin your trading pins to the lanyard.  This keeps your pins in one area and makes for easy access when trading.  Each lanyard can hold a lot of pins which allows you to show off your traded pieces of memorabilia.

Another great use for lanyards is to attach your room key or hotel key to the key ring.  At large tournaments where the players sleep in villages, each player is responsible for keeping their own room key.  A lanyard with a key ring is the perfect tool to help keep track of your keys.

Parents can where the team lanyards to show off their pride.  Tournament officials, coaches and players can all wear lanyards that have identification cards attached in one of our PVC pouches.  Our badge holders come in many different shapes and sizes to accommodate your needs.

The badge holders are also great to hold maps or player rosters.  It has never been easier to just grab your PVC holder and see who is up to bat by checking your protected roster.  Your players can also wear these items to school and keep their ID cards in them.

Lanyards and trading pins are a great pair.  Enhance your trading pin experience by including an order of lanyards.  Visit http://www.lapelpinsplus.com today to request a no obligation, free price quote and full color digital proof.  You can also call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free or email info@lapelpinsplus.com as well.  We can’t wait to get started on your trading pin and lanyard designs right away.

Over the years, we have had the opportunity to work with an archery club based in San Francisco, CA.  Archery is the sport where a bow and arrow are used to strike a target at different distances.  The San Francisco Archers are hosting a tournament and they wanted pins to hand out.

Lapel pins are great for tournaments because participants love to collect them.  They also make a great gift at registration.  People love being a part of something larger than life.  Archery is one of those types of sports.  It requires a high amount of skill that is developed through years and years of practice.

Archery lapel pins often show the chosen type of bow and arrow.  They typically include the club name or the city where the club is from.  As you can see here, this pin has an image of an arrow bag as well as some arrows hanging out of the bag.  Bright orange is the signature color of the club and that is why we used it as the backdrop of the pin.  Details like these add to the attractiveness of custom archery lapel pins.

Custom lapel pins are versatile and meaningful.  They can be used to welcome new members to a club or commemorate a certain number of years of membership.  They can be handed out as a way to get others involved in the sport of archery.  The pins can also be sold at fundraising events.  This helps clubs pay for new equipment and lodging at out-of-town meets and tournaments.

Help make a name for your archery club.  Visit http://www.lapelpinsplus.com.  You can also email info@lapelpinsplus.com or call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free.  We can take your design ideas and transform them into exciting archery lapel pins.  Don’t wait any longer!  Request a free price quote and full color digital proof today!

Professional organizations and lapel pins go together like peanut butter and jelly.  The two complement each other because professionals like to add a touch of flare to their attire and lapel pins are the perfect way to do this.  We have the privilege of working with professional groups ranging from doctors, lawyers, accountants and now professional Santas.

The professional Santa Association of Michigan recently contacted us because they were in need of lapel pins.  They wanted the association pins to hand out to all of their current members as well as for future members.  Association pins like the one you see here strengthen the bonds that tie the group together.

Custom lapel pins lets others know that the person wearing the piece of memorabilia belongs to a certain group or organization.  Since we all want to be a part of something bigger than ourselves, lapel pins make the perfect tool to bring people together.

Lapel pins also help identify the Santa’s in a community so that others know these men who transform themselves into St. Nick over the holidays are also the neighbors we see at the grocery store or out to eat.  This pin was made as a cloisonné style pin which is our top of the line pin.  When you rub your finger across the surface of this pin, it feels smooth to the touch.  It also has a high, jewelry like finish which makes all of the colors pop.  When you think professional association pin, think cloisonné style.

Get your professional lapel pins today.  Visit http://www.lapelpinsplus.com today to see samples of pins we created in the past.  You can also email info@lapelpinsplus.com or call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free.  We’ll be more than happy to send you out a free price quote and full color digital proof.
