It’s that time of year again.  It’s time to start thinking about your custom baseball or softball trading pin design.  What can you do to make your pins stand out this year?  If it’s your first time ordering from us, you’ll want to know what different types of pins that we offer so you can choose the one that is the most fitting for your players.

Here are the styles of trading pins that we can create for you:

  • Sliders. Consisting of two pieces, a slider slides across a stationary piece giving the appearance of movement when interacted with.
  • Spinners. Like a slider, spinners have two pieces.  The fixed piece provides the foundation for the pin whereas the spinning piece moves to create a unique and memorable memento.
  • Blinkies. Consisting of one or two blinking lights, this style of trading pin is operated with an on/off switch.  It is one of the most visually attractive pin styles that we offer.
  • Danglers. Once again, this type of trading pin has two pieces.  One is stationary.  The other consists of a dangling charm.  This is a great way to promote your sport of choice by making the charm a baseball or softball bat, glove or ball.
  • Bobble Heads. A stationary piece makes up the body while a spring loaded piece makes up the head.  When flicked, the head “bobbles”.  This style of pin is perfect for showing off team mascots.

We can make your pins even more memorable by adding glitter, cut outs or silkscreens to your design.  Let us know how we can best represent your team.  Our talented team of artists want you to be satisfied with the final product.

A recent trend that we are seeing with our trading pin customers is that they are requesting to have us make them 2
different pins to bring to their tournament.  One pin is a standard trading pin.  The other pin is a specialty trading pin.  Both pins are very similar in their size and appearance, but the specialty pin has more features that take it to the next level.

For example, teams are choosing to add a spinner, or a slider along with glitter and blinkies to the special pin, and deciding to stay fairly basic with the main pin.  What ends up happening at the tournaments is that the special pins are getting pulled out of the kids bags in the middle of the tournament.  The main pins are traded first and then, at the half way point, the big guns come out.  The special pins hit the scene and cause major, major buzz.  They become the “must have” pin of the tournament and teams are willing to trade just about anything to get the specialty pin.

Supply and demand is a big part of pin trading.  Because there are only a few of the special pins, they can demand top trading value.  Some players are willing to give up multiple pins to get one of the coveted pins.  This is what makes pin trading a big deal in the sports world.  Kids wait all season to be able to swap pins with other players, teams, and coaches.

Get your custom trading pins today.  We can help you with your request for traditional and specialty pins.  Put your team’s unique personalities into perspective.  Design pins to take with you to all your games and tournaments and make memories.
